Term 2 Goals


Maths-To reach a stanine 9. I will do this by answering and practicing level 5 worded questions on mathletics.

Writing-I need to write more and include more precise language. 

Reading-I want to increase my vocabulary comprehension. I want to challenge myself at a higher level and use a dictionary to check the meaning of words I don't know. Reciprocal reading will help me with this.

Science-I want to aim at getting an excellent in the Science Fair by studying in my own time.

Sport-To be in the Top 5 in Cross Country by practicing every day.

General-I need to be more tidy. I need to make sure my desk is left tidy and organised at the end of a session.

Biography on David Balayan (special template was added, but could not be inserted int blog :-( )


David was born at January 30, 1999, at 7:00 p.m. He was born at Uzbekistan (a small country nearby Russia) to Natasha and Atur Balayan. David lives with his parents and his grandmother, Asmik. He was a quiet baby, all he did was eat and sleep. David’s first word was “mama.”
David attended school #7 or #14 (schools in Russia or in countries that were ruled over by the Soviet Union before it split up are divided by numbers). While taking a nap in kindergarten, David would bounce his head on the pillow. One day David missed the pillow and hit the edge of the bed. His skull was cracked open. He fainted soon after. David would go to the hospital to change the bandage on his head every week.
In kindergarten, David would bring his toy soldiers and play by himself.In primary school, David was getting great grades. In 2005, David’s grades dropped. In Year 3, David came third in a spelling competition. David went to his friends house without telling his parents. His parents thought he got lost or was kidnapped. They called the police to search the neighborhood. David’s father went David’s friend’s house and found David. They then called the police to tell them they found David.
David is currently living in Eastbourne, Lower Hutt New Zealand. He lives with his parents and his grandmother.
David’s hobbies are Xbox gaming and rugby. David’s interest are rugby, but used to be soccer. His proudest moment was when he moved to New Zealand and made new friends. His other proudest moment was when he learned English.
David wants to study at Victoria University. He says he wants to sign up as a police officer after university. David wants to follow his dad’s footsteps as a carpenter if becoming a cop doesn’t work out for him.
